Day 10/100

Over dinner out with the fam my sisters and I found out, from my dad, that we still had our old Nintendo 64. There was of course one logical thing to do: stay up late and spend the rest of the night playing video games. For once (out of me and my two younger sisters) I was actually winning games, because these games were literally my childhood. I still think Mario Party (the original one) is the best game ever. Yay nostalgia. Also, how great is it that it still worked perfectly?! They really don’t make technology like they used to…

Day 9/100

Went home to do laundry and found my order from The Body Shop waiting for me on my bed. So far I’ve only really tried their body butters (which I love), but they were having a sale as usual and I couldn’t resist. Looking forward to trying these products! I immediately tried the Blue Corn face mask. It was the first time I’ve done a face mask in a while and it felt amazing. Who doesn’t love a little pampering…

Have you tried any of these products (or any others) form The Body Shop? Any recommendations?

Day 8/100

Went out to Applebee’s with le boyfriend. It was much deserved after a long week back at school. Got a super yummy cocktail with tequila, triple sec, cranberry juice, lime juice, and sugar. I liked that it came with a shaker–it made me feel like a real life bartender. Talked about our days and my excitement over my family’s upcoming trip to Europe!

Day 7/100

I think I remember reading somewhere that a messy desk is a sign of genius. In that case, I must be pretty intelligent. Post workout smoothie from Red Mango (banana, peanut butter, granola, and a protein boost). On that editing and posting flow, posting this week’s lineup for Haven’t heard of Savvy Auntie? Check it out! It’s a website for women that don’t have their own kids but have kids in their lives that they love just as much. Join the Auntourage! I’m currently the managing editorial intern at Savvy Auntie, and I occasionally write posts for the website.

Day 6/100

My restoration and eighteenth-century drama professor brought in her collection of 18th and 19th century books and allowed us to look through them and touch them. This is a handwritten excerpt that I found in a 300 year old bible. I liked learning about the printing process they used in the 18th century that allowed these books to last much longer than books printed in later centuries. Plus, the old book smell was heavenly..

Wore my new necklace from J. Crew that I picked up yesterday while shopping at the outlets. Later on in the day I decided to pair it with one of my lipsticks from the RiRi Hearts MAC Holiday Collection (Pleasure Bomb). It was the first time I wore this lipstick, and I think it goes perfectly with the necklace (as well as my skin tone!). Also found out that my mom booked a family trip to Europe! Rome, Venice, Paris, Switzerland, and London here we come!!! Summer 2014 is shaping up to be the best summer yet.
